Sam Moon with Ghostrider

Iconic Cape Breton vocalist, Sam Moon has been performing professionally since 1969. He is well known for his partnership with Matt Minglewood in the early 70's via Moon-Minglewood & The Universal Power. Following that groups run, Sam embarked on a solo career for many years and then teamed up with well known East Coast guitarist Richie Oakley.

Sam has recorded several albums over the years and has had a number of singles favored by radio. Sams "Girls Of Neils Harbour" is a classic Cape Breton ballad and has been recorded by numerous artists. His latest album "Never Let Me Go" was released in 2011 and features a duet with  his long time friend Minglewood. Warm and charismatic and with a great set of pipes, Sam is famous for performing and belting it out while wearing his "moo-moo" and taking to the stage bare foot.

Ghostrider hooked up with Sam in 2012 as the band members have all known him for years and decided it would be fun to back Sam up for a hand full of shows annually.

Sam Moon with Ghostrider performs an upbeat, danceable mixture of well known rock and R&B material with the odd Sam original offered as well. With over 40 years of performing there is no question Sam knows how to keep the party going and his audience captivated. Sam is backed up by Morse, Jackson, Bowers, Murray and Kenny MacKay on sax and is an act party seekers and those who like to dance always appreciate.
